Experience is not essential as full training will be given.
We are looking for staff who have the passion, drive and commitment to improve the lives of elderly people or people with a learning disability. Being a support worker at Alwood Care services is sometimes demanding but always hugely rewarding.
The Primary role of a Support Worker at Alwood Care services is to directly support our customers - adults with support needs including adults with a learning disability. You will work with customers to help them live a happy and fulfilled life and one that is as independent as possible. You will support them to develop positive relationships and to be an equal and valued member of their local community.
People who drive and have a car are desirable but not essential as you can walk, cycle or use public transport should you be required to travel but we try to keep travelling to a minimum. Opportunities for professional development and to gain qualifications are available.
We recruit for values and we are looking for staff who can evidence they are good listeners, friendly, kind, caring, compassionate, reliable, honest and want to support people in their own homes or out in the community.
